This was a great hike with an amazing natural water slide at the end to make it all worth it. We parked at the day use site on the North side of McKay Crossing Campground. At the time there wasn't a day use fee so we parked and started the 1.6 mile hike. The hike was uphill on the North side of the creek and was a gradual climb. Kids from 3 to 14 were able to make pretty easily. Although the 3 year-old made the hike on someone's shoulders. Once at the slides you'll need to climb down to the creek about 40 ft. The water is a bit chilly, but on a hot day feels great. There are multiple places to slide. Since we had small kids the adults went first and made sure there weren't hidden rocks or logs. Once it was all clear all the kids went and had a blast.
